This wine was one of the very first wines we tasted when we opened up our shop over a year ago but it had gone out of vintage and wasn’t available for the majority of the year. Well, it’s back!! We jumped on it the second we saw it available. Hands down, my (Kristin’s) all-time favorite rosé. EVER! I’ve always been a sucker for white’s and rosé’s, and believe me I have had my fair share over the years…. but this wine is something incredible. I love a good pét-nat! In the glass, it pours the prettiest of pinks, sort of like a ballet pink. The mousse on this wine is very delicate. On the nose, bright raspberry, peach, and crushed strawberries waft around while citrus, melon, and strawberry dance on the tongue. It’s got a slightly off-dry palate which really rounds out the finish. The oh so delicate bubbles make this an outstanding candidate for before-dinner drinking, or a fun pairing with appetizers or Asian cuisines!
“’He came both to the pitcher and to the end… He still doesn’t get tired of it!’ Quote from Six Rosées of course!
It has been almost 20 years since we fled the corridors of the Parisian subway for rows of vines and exchanged our fountain pen for a pruning shear.
In a few lines, we would like to share with you our way of living the vine and wine, the motive that, in 1999, at the dawn of the new millennium, pushed us to trade our city shoes for boots.
This new life has borne its fruits and today our “little”boy Jules lives in the middle of the vineyards, with our two dogs “Inao” and “Moon”, our chickens, and our three cats…
In a few pictures, we would like to transport you to our vineyards, on our brown lands dotted with white pebbles like stars in the sky… In the middle of the rows of vines let yourself go among the flowers, cereals and mustard plants…
May you feel the effects of this land that winegrowers like to call “terroir”.
May you glimpse this harmonious whole, rediscover this softness, these lights, these compositions of nature that we call “landscapes” and which give all its meaning to our profession: farmer – the one who shapes the landscape! - Isabelle & Franck
