Tasting Notes

A highly approachable white wine with a pale yellow color in the glass.  On the nose, lucious aromas of peach and white flowers such as rose or jasmine is met with penetrating and unctuous flavor with a measured acidity that makes it persistent. Enjoy this wine with some friends at the pool. Pairs well with seafood, poultry and fresh cheese like chevre, and charcuterie.

Winery Details

Empordàlia was born from the union of the old cooperative wineries of Pau, Roses and Vilajuïga. Three villages, many lands and an exclusive harvest beyond their own terms.

Empordàlia’s history begins in 1947 with the founding of the Vilajuïga cooperative. Later, in 1961, the Pau cooperative was born and merged with Roses. All are born with the same purpose: to work together to offer a quality product that reflects the character of this land. This same purpose means that in 2005 they all decided to unite to create what is known as Empordàlia, a name that represents them all. Empordàlia is the result of many years of effort, teamwork and the will to follow this path.

Empordàlia’s commitment is nothing more than knowing how to gather in each bottle baggage and quality. For this reason, they propose that every vintage of their Empordà Wine preserves the defining features of this small region.

The vineyards of Empordàlia are soaked by the north wind, a rocky geography, little generous rain and the brackishness of the nearby sea. They form a large family that works a century-old olive grove and native and ancient vines as their grandparents and great-grandparents taught them, with respect for the land, following the same values ​​and continuing the same path for future generations.
