Tasting Notes
Yet another fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon by Winemaker Andrew Jones, Owner of California's Field Recordings. He created this bold Paso Robles Cabernet to deliver powerful wine at a steal! Bold dark fruit on the nose such as blackberry, black plum, dark raspberry radiates from the glass with accents of mocha and savory herb. The palate is rich, textural, and dense with generous black fruit, cocoa powder and tobacco flavors that cover a nicely chewy tannin rich finish. This wine is ready to drink right now with burgers, steaks, or cool evenings.
Winery Details
We spent years on safari in California wine country to track down this rugged, thick-skinned, long-horned Rhino of a Cab. Under the expertise of Field Recordings’ Andrew Jones (one of our favorite & most dialed-in winemakers), we found an ideal Paso Robles site to deliver the pure fruit, fresh food-friendly acidity, heightened aromas, and overall balance we’ve been longing for. Welcome to flavor country.
