2016 Château Cheval Brun Saint-Émilion Grand Cru: Bordeaux, France

Tasting Notes

This wine shows a beautiful purple and intense dress. A nose of ripe fruit and spices with a slightly vanilla finish. These impressions are confirmed in the mouth, added with a rich, strongly wood-aged character, this is dark with tannins as well as bold black fruits. This wine is big and has room to age.

Winery Details

Situated in the very center of Saint-Émilion, partly next to the walls of the medieval village, mainly west of the commune. The vineyard benefits from clay-limestone and sandy soil with an alios subsoil and iron dross promoting drainage.

Since 1875, the Rivière family diversify and develops their estates in the purest tradition of Bordeaux wines. Concerned about the quality of the wines that we produce, our vines are grown within the greatest respect of their soil. The perfect blending of grape varieties gives wines of character, elegant, authentic wines with style.

In thirty years, Jean-Pierre and Philippe Rivière built a wide territory, which is made of distinct estates which covers some of the most evocative names of Bordeaux wines.

"It's through the grapes we express our passion, acquired year after year and guided by the pursuit of quality and the pride of our terroir."
