2021 Schlossmühlenhof ‘Pinke Pinke’ Rosé: Rheinhessen, Germany

$18.00 $21.00

Tasting Notes

This wine is the fruity expression of the Rheinhessen style. A blend of skin-contact white grapes Müller-Thurgau and Gelber Muskateller to give it the tree fruit and zest, with a touch of red from St. Laurent for extra color and some red fruit to the mix.  And what a gorgeous COLOR it is! Happy juice that is floral and zesty, with punchy citrus, strawberries and peach, brisk acidity, and a lingering finish. It's the perfect day-drinker for summer's last picnics, beach days and porch hangs.

Winery Details

In 1881 a late-classical house was constructed here of sandstone from Flonheim. It remains our residence even today. Our family began selling our wines in bottles even before the Second World War. When Walter, today in semi-retirement, took over operations in 1985, he focused squarely on winegrowing. Nicolas assumed responsibility for the cellar and vineyards in 2007 after completing his studies in winegrowing. 2015 saw the sixth generation of the estate take the reins.
